FAQs

Ordering and accounts

Do you sell to the public?

Unfortunately not. We are a trade-only wholesale supplier, servicing civil, commercial, municipal and residential landscapers.

Can I get a quote?

Yes. Send your request by email to info@talltrees.com.au, including species, pot size, quantities, delivery location and approximate lead time. Attach any relevant plans you may have, and one of the team will be delighted to price your project.

How long is my quote valid?

Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued. Because stock and prices can change, please contact our sales team to confirm if your quote has expired.

How do I open a trade account?

Send an email to info@talltrees.com.au and one of our friendly sales team will reach out to you directly with all relevant applications and documentation.

Do I need a trade account to order?

No. Trade account holders order on account terms. Customers without a trade account pay prior to their order being dispatched or collected.

What are your payment terms?

Payment terms are confirmed as part of your trade account application. For non-account-holding customers, we have credit card facilities on site, or accept EFT.

Is there a minimum order?

Our minimum order is $300. If you have a smaller requirement, please get in touch with our sales team to discuss your options.

Products and availability

What do you grow?

We grow a wide range of native and exotic trees, shrubs, grasses, groundcovers and more, in most commonly used sizes from tubestock up to 200L trees.

Do you grow to any standards?

All of our tree lines are grown in accordance with Australian Standard AS 2303:2018 (Tree stock for landscape use).

How do I check stock?

Currently, the best way to check availability is to email our sales team at info@talltrees.com.au or call the office. Contact details are available on our contact page.

What if a plant I need isn't available?

Our experienced sales team can suggest suitable alternatives that match your project's needs, such as similar size, form or growing conditions. Just let us know what you're after and we'll help you find the right fit.

Can you grow to order or contract grow?

Depending on the scope of your project, we often grow to order. Contact our sales team to find out whether your project would suit contract growing. The earlier you get in touch, the better, as lead times depend on the species and size required.

Can you supply for large civil or commercial projects?

Yes! This is our specialty. Large-scale, complex landscaping works are where our service and expert sales team excel, from project to delivery onsite.

Delivery and pickup

Where do you deliver?

We deliver across Victoria with our own trucks and experienced drivers. We can also arrange freight nationwide through our trusted network of specialist greenlife transport companies.

Can you supply plants that meet interstate biosecurity requirements, including plant health certificates?

Yes. Tall Trees is registered to receive and dispatch plants into and out of most Australian states, including fireant, TPP, and myrtle rust accreditations. Requirements vary by state, so let our sales team know where your order is going and we'll confirm what's needed.

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery is priced based on your location and the size of your order. Our sales team will include delivery costs in your quote, or you can email info@talltrees.com.au to have freight to your location quoted.

How much notice do you need for delivery?

Please give us as much notice as possible. A week’s notice is generally sufficient, however lead times may extend over spring and depend on order size, stock availability and our delivery schedule. Our sales team will confirm a delivery date when you order.

What should I do when my order arrives?

Please inspect your plants on delivery and report any damage or concerns to our sales team as soon as possible, with photos if you can. We accept notices of defect for 24 hours from delivery and will work with you to resolve the issue. Please note that plants that have been planted can't be returned.

Can I collect from the nursery?

Yes, by prior confirmed arrangement only. We can't serve walk-in customers, so please confirm your pick-up time with our team first.

Location and contact

Where are you based?

We are a production nursery based in Balnarring on the Mornington Peninsula.

What are your office hours?

Our office is open Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm.
